Westby Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Embezzlement
Madison, Wisconsin—Erik C. Peterson,
United States Attorney for the Western District of
Wisconsin, announced today that Dale M. Pedretti, 45,
of Westby, Wisconsin, was sentenced in U.S. District
Court in Madison to 27 months in prison for bank embezzlement.
Chief U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb also ordered
Pedretti to pay restitution of $351,899.75.
Pedretti
pleaded guilty to embezzling money from his former
employer, the Fortress Bank of Westby, Wisconsin.
The
charge against Dale M. Pedretti was the result of
an investigation conducted by the La Crosse Resident
Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The
prosecution
of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S.
Attorney
Grant C. Johnson.
