Oxford Federal Correctional Inmate Sentenced for Smuggling Marijuana
Madison, Wisconsin—Erik C. Peterson,
United States Attorney for the Western District of
Wisconsin, announced that Robert Knight, 25, an inmate
at the Federal Correctional Institution in Oxford,
was sentenced today by Chief U.S. District Judge Barbara
B. Crabb to six months in prison for smuggling marijuana
into FCI-Oxford on October 27, 2007.
Knight pleaded guilty to this charge on January 7,
2008. Judge Crabb directed that Knight's sentence be
served consecutively to the sentence he is currently
serving.
The charges against Knight were the result of an investigation
conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The
prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant
U.S. Attorney Paul W. Connell.
