Rock County Man Sentenced to 57 Months on Cocaine Charge

MADISON, WI—Stephen P. Sinnott, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Angel Servin, 20, of Beloit, Wis. was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb to 57 months in prison for distribution of cocaine. Servin pleaded guilty to this charge on September 3, 2009.

Between August 1, 2007 and January 28, 2009, Servin sold cocaine in Beloit. On June 19, 2008, January 9, and May 8, 2009, law enforcement officers executed search warrants at Servin’s home where they recovered numerous firearms, ammunition, marijuana, drug ledgers, and scales. A grand jury returned a seven-count indictment against Servin on June 3, 2009.

The charges against Servin were the result of an investigation conducted by the Rock County Safe Streets Task Force, which is comprised of officers and agents from the Rock County Sheriff's Department, Beloit Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and Federal Bureau of Investigation. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Peter M. Jarosz.
