Sussex, Wisconsin Man Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison for Sexual Exploitation of Children (Producing Child Pornography)

United States Attorney Michelle L. Jacobs announced that Kenneth A. Krueger, 48, from Sussex, Wisconsin, was sentenced on Friday, November 20, 2009, to 18 years' imprisonment, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for sexual exploitation of children which involved the production of child pornography. Krueger has been detained without bond since his arrest on March 18, 2009 is also required to register as a sex offender.

A search warrant was executed at Krueger’s residence in Sussex on the date of his arrest, and computers and related media were seized. A forensic analysis of these items revealed over 100 images of child pornography which Krueger had produced from 2004 until August of 2008. Agents also found a VHS tape and two videos of Krueger molesting a 2 ½- to 3-year-old girl and an approximately 4-year-old girl.

This case was the result of a joint investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department, High Technology Unit, the Federal Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Task Forces in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Virginia. Assistant United States Attorney Penelope L. Coblentz prosecuted this case.

According to United States Attorney Michelle L. Jacobs, the “Department of Justice has made the protection of our nation’s children a top priority through Project Safe Childhood, and prosecutions such as this further this priority. The use of children as subjects of pornographic materials is harmful to the emotional and mental health of the child.”
