Tips from America’s Most Wanted Lead to Arrest of Wisconsin Fugitive
Fugitive CHUCKIE N. VANG (d.o.b. 09/05/1983), wanted for attempted murder, was arrested without incident in Fresno, California on July 30, 2008.
Vang was wanted for attempted intentional homicide in Menasha, Wisconsin. Vang was allegedly identified as the shooter in an incident that occurred at a motel in Menasha on September 21, 2006. Three victims were shot and wounded. It is alleged that Vang went to the motel intending to collect a drug debt. On December 19, 2007, an arrest warrant was issued for Vang by the State of Wisconsin, Circuit Court in Winnebago County on three counts of attempted first degree intentional homicide. Additionally, on December 20, 2007, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Vang in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin. Vang is charged with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1073.
Vang was featured on the television program America’s Most Wanted twice, on April 19, 2008 and again on April 26, 2008. The tips generated from the TV program directly led FBI agents and Fresno, California police officers to the address in Fresno where Vang was found.
Chuckie N. Vang is currently in custody and beginning the process of being returned to Town of Menasha, Wisconsin Police to face charges in Winnebago County Court.
